Board Meeting Highlights – June 16
It was a reflective and celebratory evening as trustees and leadership shared highlights from a successful school year. Congratulations to Ava Michaluk, Tanner Humniski, and Paisley Abuda, the recipients of the Kim Jonasson Memorial Scholarship.
✨ Trustee Mosher spoke about the emotional scholarship presentation, noting the incredible turnout and the enduring legacy of Kim Jonasson.
👏 Trustee Auer celebrated the outstanding work of Gibby Finnbogason and his team, completing over 600 projects this school year!
📊 Trustee Yorga expressed pride in the annual committee summaries, describing them as a true reflection of the board’s hard work and dedication.

🎒 Superintendent Hill shared appreciation for the board’s efforts, with special recognition for the Advocacy Committee’s “PowerPoint in the Pocket” initiative—equipping trustees to share highlights of the division’s story in the community over the summer.

- Successfully transitioning Grade 7 & 8 students into the high school setting
- Students reporting greater variety of learning opportunities and a strong sense of safety in their new school
