🎾✨ Math practice can happen anywhere! ✨🎾

To build fluency and make our math facts stick, students took part in a quick and structured outdoor math warm-up using 51 tennis balls numbered 0–50.

Working with a partner (and holding hands so they had to communicate clearly!), each student could pick up only one ball with their free hand. When given a target number — like 12 — pairs searched for two numbers they could use to create a correct equation.

Some of the solutions they generated included:
 ➕ 5 + 7 = 12
 ➖ 22 – 10 = 12
 ✖️ 3 × 4 = 12
 ➗ 48 ÷ 4 = 12

A simple routine, lots of retrieval practice, and a fun change of location — all supporting strong number sense and accuracy. ❤️📚
