At Winnipeg Beach School, we believe that all students have the right to feel valued, to enjoy school, and to receive a quality education that includes opportunities to experience success while developing a love for learning, in a safe, caring and respectful environment.

Our School Profile

Winnipeg Beach School is a Junior Kindergarten to Grade 8 school that serves the communities of Winnipeg Beach, Matlock, Whytewold, Dunnottar, Ponemah and Sandy Hook.

Winnipeg Beach School originally began over the old Robinson store. Then in 1906 the first school building was constructed at the corners of Gimli Road and Robinson Avenue. 

In 1929 two additions were built, with electricity being added in 1940. A new two storey concrete walled school was completed in 1949.

The present Winnipeg Beach School opened its doors in 1999. The library, music room and gymnasium are part of the old building, the classroom wing is the new portion.
