Enviro Club
Gimli High School Enviro Club
The Enviro Club has been a very active group for many years. We meet during lunch hours on Wednesdays and will schedule more meetings as necessary to plan/take part in events.
Students involved are from grades 9 – 12 and anyone is welcome to join at any time or for a particular event or project. Our major annual activities include the Eating Lower on the Food Chain Dinner – a community event with exceptional food and entertainment by GHS students, and Envirothon – an amazing provincial competition in which we have participated at the provincial level since 1998!
The past few years, our focus has been on reviving our school and towns Fairtrade designation as well as bringing awareness to the harmful environmental impact of AI. The focus for the club is "educating others" and the creation of "legacy projects" for graduating classes. Stay tuned for more info!
