The Evergreen School Division Board of Trustees is proud to share a recent advocacy win at the Manitoba School Boards Association (MSBA) Annual General Meeting!

Our Board put forward a motion calling for stronger preparation in Structured Literacy for new teachers—and it passed! ✅

"Be it resolved that the MSBA lobbies Faculties of Education in Manitoba to ensure that course content in Structured Literacy is available to Teacher Candidates."

This motion reflects our commitment to evidence-based literacy instruction and ensures that future educators are equipped with the tools they need to teach reading effectively.
